Sweden Says It Does Not Use Any Secret Algorithms to Profile Schengen Visa aspirants

The Swedish authorities have said that the country doesn’t use any secret algorithms to profile Schengen visa aspirants following reports that the Netherlands has been classifying aspirants.

The Netherlands was indicted of using a secret and potentially illegal algorithm to profile people applying for a Schengen visa grounded on their race, with an disquisition by Lighthouse Reports and NRC revealing that the country has been using such a system since 2015.

For this reason, Sweden gave an sanctioned statement on the matter, cheering everyone that Sweden itself treats all aspirants the same and doesn’t distinguish or support similar practices.

Speaking forSchengenVisaInfo.com, the prophet of the Swedish Migration Agency said that the country has not used and doesn’t presently use algorithms to profile Schengen visa aspirants grounded on their race, age, gender, and profitable background.

VFS Global also participated its station on the matter, saying that the company doesn’t keep appointment places available only for certain aspirants or distinguish against Schengen visa aspirants in any form.

All citizens of third countries that haven’t reached a visa-free trip agreement need to gain a visa to be permitted entry into Sweden or any other country in the Schengen Area.

When applying for a Sweden Schengen Visa, aspirants are needed to submit several documents.

Everyone must complete the Swedish visa operation form, submit two passport prints, their valid passport, evidence of having bought trip health insurance, a roundtrip flight diary, evidence of accommodation, and evidence of sufficient fiscal means, among others.
